MDES, cooperating with CAT, telecom and platform providers promote Work from Home under COVID-19 for government agencies.
On 17 March 2020, Mr. Puttipong Punnakanta, The Minister of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), hold a press conference and announced “Work-from-Home under COVID-19 situation” at Electronic Transactions Development Agency, The9th Tower, Grand Rama9 Building with the intention to keep employees and operators safe. CAT Telecom Public Company Limited: CAT one of the leading telecommunication operators also advocated a digital model for government agencies operation and aimed to go further and be a digital government. Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, CAT’s director, had joined this press conference to inform Work from Home procedures that can work anywhere at any time.
The telecommunication and Internet service providers namely: CAT Telecom, TOT, AIS, DTAC, True, 3BB have agreed to waive Mobile Internet fee including Fixed Broadband, and Mobile Broadband for registrants who enroll in this project when access via designated Range IP Address and URL.
Meanwhile, platform providers such as CISCO, Microsoft, Line and Google will sponsor free online meeting systems, computer equipment, mobile phones with IOS and Android operating systems to Government agencies & state enterprises.
Also, the Work from Home operation manual was available on mobile application; any organizations who are interested in those services, can register at www.onde.go.th
