Peering Asia 4.0 is a regional seminar forum for the Asia-Pacific area that brings together ISPs (Internet Service Providers), CDNs (Content Delivery Network Providers), cloud providers, and NSPs (Network Service Providers) to advance peering and interconnection in the region.
Through Peering Asia 4.0, service providers will be able to share internet technology case studies, network with other experts in the field, and expand their business’s potential through training sessions.
Thanks to the generous support of the Asia-Pacific Internet Exchange Association (APIX) and the host country, Peering Asia will take place annually between October and November.
Prior to Peering Asia 4.0, Peering Asia 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 were held in Japan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, respectively. Therefore, Peering Asia 4.0 demonstrates the huge success of three events.
First held in Tokyo, Japan in 2017, Peering Asia 1.0 was a collaboration between BIX, Equinix Japan, JPIX, and JPNAP. Cable capacity, data centers, and Internet exchanges were among the topics discussed by the 239 attendees representing 114 organizations from across the Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe.
In 2018, Peering Asia 2.0, held in Hong Kong by HKIX and HKNOG, was another huge success. It was attended by 321 people from 149 companies in the Asia-Pacific, North America, and Europe to discuss cutting-edge internet technology.
In 2019, MyIX and MYNOG hosted Peering Asia 3.0 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with 362 attendees from 177 organizations in Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe, and Africa. This forum aims to help aspiring network and Internet service providers in the Asia-Pacific deliver better service.
All events are well-attended thanks to the participation of speakers from both inside and outside the host country, which is made possible by the generous support of event sponsors.
As a result, Peering Asia 4.0 will be held at the Bangkok Convention Center, Centara Grand, Central World from November 2nd to November 3rd, 2022. This is a great honor for Thailand IX and BBIX.
Peering Asia 4.0 allows service providers to hold open discussions and share information about Internet exchanges and interconnections. It’s an excellent strategy for expanding your influence in the Asia-Pacific region, fostering closer ties with allies, and increasing your business’s potential.
